Tom was recently promoted to lieutenant and was covering in several houses. He had much experience to bring to the men and the company. Tom worked in Engine 52 in Riverdale for a number of years, and through him we at Engine 6 have gotten close to the men from 52. Tom was a a great cook, and could make something out of nothing. He was also a great bartender. Tom loved his time with his family very much. It gave him great pleasure to spend time with his little boys and he was very proud of them. It’s so sad we only had Tom for a couple of tours at Engine 6. He fit right in and enjoyed working with us. He will be greatly missed.
